The Gospel Faith Mission International (GOFAMINT) just concluded the 45th edition of her annual convention on Sunday August 8, 2010. This year's convention was themed, the Unsearchable Riches of Christ. It was held at the Mission's International Conference Centre, Gospel Town, Ojoo Ibadan.

Pastor (Dr.) E.O. Abina; General Overseer, GOFAMINT Worldwide
While the event started on the evening of Monday August 2, it was marked with great and awesome landmarks. Asides the fact that the Convention was witnessed by ten of thousands of crowds, it also recorded one of the largest gatherings the GOFAMINT Convention has ever witnessed. It was also commended as one of the best organised Conventions the Mission has ever recorded. Pastor Peter Awodimila, Ketu District Pastor tells Golden News of his experience. "The organizational structures are commendably superb. Kudos to the Convention Working Committee. Out of the 23 conventions I have attended, this seems to be heavily loaded. The preachers and teachers were ministering under open heavens with loaded utterances. Our father in the Lord, the General Overseer taught explosively. The messages carried explainable incoherence, mysteries unfathomable by men but "decodable" by spirit-filled children of God."

One of the things that marked the Convention was the presentation of the "sons of GOFAMINT". During the opening service, the General Overseer expressed his joy at the fact that the speaker of the evening programme was a son of GOFAMINT. Before the message of that night, Evangelist Segun Ikuemonisan who had been preaching the Word since he was six years old came up to sow the seed of the Word into the ecstatic audience. The whole auditorium was charged with the power of God.
On his facebook page, the young preacher wrote, "As I spoke to the 50,000+ audience, I sensed a generational bridge being birthed. It's our time. T'was sensational!" After he left the stage, another son of GOFAMINT, Pastor Kola Kudoro, the son of one of the founding fathers of GOFAMINT came up to sensitize the enormous crowd on the basis and blessing of being complete in Christ. Monday night was indeed phenomenal.

One of the participants of the convention from Moferere District remarked, "...our entire programme this year has been simply astonishing and astounding. They were all loaded with inspiration from God Almighty. I really appreciate the effort of our fathers in the Lord whom God has loaded with anointing to discharge His word fearlessly." Another one confesses, "I have been blessed under this year’s convention in many ways. God has been providing for my need financially and He has also been answering my prayer. My life has changed for the better because now I am determined to be more committed to God’s work."

The people of God became even more thirsty for God's presence when Reverend Uma Ukpai visited the Convention on Thursday evening, August 5, fully loaded with the Word. The auditorium was electrified as he led the church in a 15-minute session of praise, declaring words of healing to every mind, soul and body.

On Sunday, when the Convention programme ended, a lot of the participants had to rush out in return to their respective locations. However, due to the enormous attendance, traffic jam was one thing that was so much expected. Compared to previous years, there was the presence of officers of the Federal Road Safety Corps, which helped improve traffic flow. Arulogun Road, the road that bypassed Gospel Town was filled with vehicles hoping to make their way through to the Ojoo-Shasha Road in order to link Iwo Road. While some spent close to two hours trying to make their way through the traffic, some others found their way thorugh another route taking the longer route through Igbo-Oloyin. However, some members felt there was still room for improvement in that area. A concerned member wrote, "I suggest for us to work more on getting security and traffic managers to work more on the last day of the convention, and they should be available till late evening."

On overall assessment, the general notion was that the Convention, which is a success is a great one. Souls were added to the kingdom, miracles were wrought to the glory of the God and the many participants testified to the glory of the Almighty God. Truly, it was a great experience knowing of the unsearchable riches of Christ.
